2006 Sprinter rear bump just before stopping

I am having an issue where my 2006 Sprinter bumps to rear wheels every time just before stopping completely.
Much lighter bump when engine is still cold. I suspect a torque converter issue.

I am wondering if anyone else had a similar issue and what could be exactly the problem.

This started after replacing the original transmission with one from another, long, high roof sprinter. I didn't replace my original torque converter.

Is it possible that other trans is different inside and needs ECU to reprogram or torques are different.

You might want to check Your front yoke on the drive shaft. The splines that slip on to the transmission get dry They need to be greased to keep them free to slide on the tail shaft. Two piece drive shafts tend to do it more than one piece drive shafts.

When they get dry and hang up. I've had them feel like somebody has just barely taped The back bumper.

Back in the old days a lot of cars and trucks had a grease fitting on the yoke just to keep them greased.

Good Luck hope this works out.
