Plastic Arms
Mirrors with short plastic arms come standard on Sprinters when the option of parabolics are not ordered. The arm pivots only on the side where it is mounted to the door. These also come electrically powered.
The OEM parabolics are sometimes added to these mirrors.
Short Metal Arms
When the option of parabolics, mounted topside piggyback, are ordered, the short metal arms appear. The arm pivots at the door and at the mirror. These also come electrically powered.
The ability to pivot in two locations provides the ability to move the mirror to a position where the split front door windows do not interfere with the parabolic mirror.
Long Metal Arms
Found mostly on chassis cabs without the parabolic mirror option order. The arm pivots at the door and at the mirror.
Metal Loop Arms
Bigger normal and parabolic mirrors are mounted to metal loop. The arm pivots at the door and at the mirror.
