What Did You Do To Your Sprinter Today?

I didn’t include as this company has stopped importing into Oz. I don’t know who the US distributor is.
It’s the only full steel bar replacement that is Australian Design Rules compliant that has been tested with sensors, radar, cameras etc. I could find locally.

very good quality & I like how they targeted the vulnerabilities like the DEF tank.

I think you guys are better served with the sprinter. We do have a lot of good 4x4 specialist companies. Land Rover & Landcruiser aftermarket’s are huge here. I have kitted my Sprinter out using mainly AO as there is no similar Sprinter specialist locally. AO are very good to deal with from here (good on the phone, rubbish with emails) and their web shop is great for working out
de minimus/tax/delivery automatically with orders generally taking ~5days to arrive in Oz.

Have the aftermarket figured out to make Land Rovers actually run reliably?

😂 all mine have been great, we use all of our 4x4’s as intended, serviced annually (ignore the manufacturer’s extended oil changes) We get a much broader LR Defender offering than the States, Diesels, poverty packs (no sunroof, leather, black plastic shiny bits, 18” steelies etc.) have served me and my family since the early 50’s.

I've heard really bad things about Indian cars, besides the ones that are based on Mercedes designs.

By the way, in the United States, cars that require maintenance be kept on top of tend to be listed as particularly unreliable.

True statement
Blame Honda. Not as much anymore but we all know the story. Their motorcycles still seem to carry the torch though. My Africa Twin is a bit weird on a coolant clamp but otherwise unfazed by anything else one could imagine from abuse to neglect.
30 or so years ago I was in a rather quick car with it's owner and as we pulled to the pump she went to the cheapest option. I asked if she'd ever read the user manual regarding preferred octane for her vehicle. Low and behold she had not. I don't blame her, or him if that were the case in this instance. We're just really good at dumbing things down and it pays off for the manufacturers.

Toyota and pre-Renault Nissan as much if not more so.

I picked up a 3-seater bench leatherette with OEM floor mounts.

My van came with the L-tracks from factory ( floor and walls ).

Does anyone make an adapter or mounting solutions to attach the sprinter bench to L-track ?

Doubtful. Those seats are HEAVY AF.
No crash testing done on that seat attached to L track.
Shouldn't stop you from investigating drilling into the frame though if it doesn't mount to the L-tracks. Might not even have to drill, could be existing holes if it was originally a crew van?

I wouldn’t drill into the frame unless BEG approved - which is doubtful to my understanding.
Yes if a crew use those factory bolt locations and mount factory seat tracks but the fact he bought a seat and tracks suggests not a crew.

You went in different direction than what others have done, typically the folks buy the seats compatible with the L-tracks, especially you already have them installed.

i wonder if you can secure the metal plate on L-tracks and then secure the OEM tracks and install the bench, it will bring up the overall height.

I have been thinking about this in reverse order for our crew van, this 3-seaters bench is less than desirable, don't want to pay $$ to get it converted as I rather invest that $$ towards the new 2-seaters convertible bench -> bed.
Put a thick metal plate over the factory rails, use the heavy duty U-bolts to secure the metal plate and install the surface mount L-tracks on top of the metal plate. Which will give me a flexibility of getting the aftermarket bench.

Mine is a cargo with installed L-tracks from factory. Same location where the oem floor tracks get installed. Bolt distance might be the same too.
I was just curious if someone done it or seen it before.
