Dean.
By harsh, do you mean from the tyre compression/deformation for bumps or handling. You have to bear in mind that a 10ply "van" tyre is by nature a hard tyre. You can run a lower pressure to counter hardness but it comes at the price of heat, wear and fuel economy. I run 70 psi (cold) in the Conti's when going long distances (Nullabor 13 times and counting plus numerous Nth west runs from Freo)) but drop them for shorter runs to 55psi for rougher country roads and lower for dirt roads depending on condition. I have a set of 265/65 R17's GO15 Geolanders on black rhino rims for off roading and still run them at 70 psi for the longer highway sections and down to 25 psi for soft sand around 55 for rougher corrugated tracks like the great central roadI am finding that the Continental ContiVanContact tyres that came on my Campervan harsh and thinking of replacing then with the Michelin Agilis 3 in the same size. Thoughts?
